The year 2025 should mark a turning point in the history of Paris Saint-Germain. Since the arrival of the Qataris at the head of the club in the early 2010s, the leaders have wanted to benefit from a larger venue to host their team's matches. And while the option of expanding the Parc des Princes has become more and more complicated with the refusal to sell on the part of the Town Hall, the reigning French champions have decided to turn to the construction of a brand new setting after abandoning the Stade de France track. Thus, several sites are now being considered to accommodate the new Parisians enclosure.
A stadium with 90,000 seats?
And according to the newspaper information The Parisianmany firms are currently working on the project which particularly appeals to Nasser al-Khelaïfi. The president of Paris Saint-Germain would even be “captivated” by the different models he may have received. The latter highlight stadiums ranging from 50,000 to 90,000 seats, “ultramodern, modular jewels” which would not be limited only to football. We would thus find “shops, restaurants, a clinic, a more modest stadium for the women’s team”. Total amount: one billion euros. We must now choose the ideal site, because so far none meets all the criteria. The next few months promise to be particularly interesting.
