Peace and disarmament are at the heart of the news
The CGT builds initiatives that give meaning to its commitments and orientations on these questions which permeate our internationalist debates and actions.
In this context, on January 23, 2025, the CGT, its “International and Peace” commission and the Peace Movement will have the honor of receiving the 2024 Nobel Peace Prizes at the CGT premises in Montreuil.
A delegation composed, in particular, of :
- M. Shigemitsu Tanaka, vice-Président de Nihon Hidankyo,
- Mr. Toshiaki Ishikawa, vice-president of ZENROREN (Japanese trade union organization partner of the CGT),
- Ms. Yayoi Tsuchida, Deputy Secretary General of Gensukio (Japanese Peace Movement)
will speak during this public conference organized from 4:30 p.m..
Nobel Peace Prize 2024
80 years after the American nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese organization Nihon Hidankyo, organizer and driving force of the Japanese Peace movement received the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize for his actions to recognize the survivors of the atomic bombings and for his fight against nuclear weapons.
