Between captivating jazz rhythms and literary moments, ‘Bulles de Jazz’ promises a unique and warm evening in Mirepoix. An artistic encounter where music and words blend harmoniously.
On Friday January 10 at 6 p.m., the “Bulles de Jazz” concert promises to warm hearts in Mirepoix. This musical event will be held in the intimate and warm atmosphere of Fabienne’s bookstore-café, L’Alibi, located at 19, rue Porte d’Amont. A unique immersion in the vibrant and eclectic world of jazz awaits music lovers.
Bulles de Jazz: an unforgettable musical journey
Enhanced by the captivating voice of Anna K., this musical adventure is based on two talented musicians: Hugo Brun on keyboards and Mörice on double bass, members of the Froggy Blues Cie. Together, they offer a rich and varied repertoire, ranging from English, French and Brazilian jazz standards to swing, bossa nova, blues, bebop, cool jazz and lounge, with a dose of magical improvisation.
Words, notes and pictures
This evening will also be the occasion for a literary interlude. Jocelyne Cita, author of the novels “Exist” and “Catherine and her tribe”, will be present for signings. These two works explore the theme of family with sensitivity and depth. “Exist”, between autobiography and introspection, and “Catherine and her tribe”, a contemporary tale painting the portrait of a matriarch mother.
“I have always been a music lover and I find that music establishes links between places, images, words that I have written or what I am still going to write. Like a Proust madeleine, I wanted to create a musical, literary and convivial moment that would warm up the start of the year a little,” explains Jo.
A unique atmosphere for a friendly evening
With its intoxicating rhythms and its “gently crazy” atmosphere, this evening promises to be a sparkling moment of sharing. An aperitif will be offered to extend the synergy between music and literature.
