The ban will relate to “extremely sensitive jobs, for example people who are Russian dual nationals to occupy strategic leadership positions in the defense“, explained the deputy Sébastien Chenu on the TF1 channel, without giving further details on the type of jobs concerned.

This measure will involve “an organic law and a decree to prevent interference” because it is a question of “protecting oneself” in “sensitive sectors”, insisted Sébastien Chenu.

“What we judge is nationality: you are French or you are not French. When you are Frenchyou have the same rights as any French person, including when you were French by naturalization in the past”, he added, recalling that in the event of victory of the far-right party to legislative anticipated from the beginning of July, “it will probably be less easy to be French”.

He further reiterated that for the rest, people with Double nationality would have the same rights as others, contrary to what the RN in 2022. “When you are Franco-this or Franco-that, you are French and you obviously have the same rights as any French person,” he clarified.

Today, a number ofpublic jobs are closed to Foreign nationalswith the notable exception of hospital doctorss and teacher-researchers.
