Jérémy Doku defends Pep Guardiola after Manchester City’s incredible series – All football

Manchester City finished their year well, after weeks of struggle. Perhaps the machine is restarted; At least that’s what Pep Guardiola, who Jérémy Doku continues to support, will hope for.

With a 5/27 in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola experienced a crisis the likes of which he had not only never experienced at Manchester City, but perhaps quite simply in his career. The Catalan coach has appeared lost like never before in recent weeks at the helm of the Citizens.

This Sunday, Manchester City ended the year in style by going for the three points with authority on the lawn of Leicester City (0-2). Jérémy Doku was the starter, and the Belgian winger remains convinced that Guardiola – who recently extended his contract at the Etihad Stadium – is the man for the job.

“He’s the best coach I’ve worked with, and the best in the world,” Doku said before Skyblue’s victory at Leicester. “He’s someone with a lot of ideas, creativity. He always has a solution for everything. I have no doubt that he will find something to help us get back into the game.”

This will perhaps involve the injection of a little fresh blood during the winter transfer window. Manchester City is currently 5th in the Premier League, 14 points behind leader Liverpool, and will therefore have to put in a crazy second half of the season to hope to play for the title.

The record is even worse in the Champions League, where City is 22nd and can already forget the top 8, but will also have to look behind to avoid a catastrophic elimination from the League phase. It is FC Brugge, traveling to Manchester in January, which could seal their fate…
