Jane Birkin passed away on Sunday July 16 at the age of 76. Her health weakened, the singer had to put her activities on hold this summer, and had notably canceled concerts. His last appearance in public dates back to the Cesar ceremony, last February.
With her daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg and her granddaughter Alice Attal, Jane Birkin went to the Olympia to attend the annual awards ceremony for French cinema talents. All three dressed in black, they had testified one last time to their complicity in front of the objectives of the photographers.

The film “Jane by Charlotte”, released in January 2022 at the cinema and directed by Charlotte Gainsbourg, was nominated in the category of best documentary film.
