A mind-blowing trailer through time for Robert Zemeckis’ film

The first trailer for Herethe very ambitious film directed by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the future) starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, has just dropped. And it will inevitably be one of the big events of 2024 in cinema.

The next film by the great Robert Zemeckis is inevitably highly anticipated, both for its intriguing concept and for the reputation of its filmmaker, always quick to test new techniques to tell his stories (Who wants Roger Rabbit’s skin?, Death suits you so well, The express center, Welcome to Marwen…).

Starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, and inspired by Richard McGuire’s graphic novel of the same name, Here indeed has the project to take us through time via a single camera angle.

And precisely, while the first photos for the revolutionary Here were recently revealed, Sony has just revealed the first trailer for Robert Zemeckis’ filmand that will undoubtedly make a lot of curious people.

Here and nowhere else

The trailer for Here something to stay in memory. Of his start at the dawn of time (technically, it’s in the dinosaur era) at all stages of his couple’s life, passing through the different eras of world history, the trailer clearly presents Robert Zemeckis’ completely crazy project. Via a unique plan and fixed, we transform ourselves into motionless spectators of the passing centuries and decades, until the construction of a house in which the lives of the people inhabiting it become our daily lives.

Here is therefore directed by Robert Zemeckis, also a screenwriter alongside Eric Roth and with whom he had already collaborated for Forrest Gump. In the casting, behind Tom Hanks and Robin Wright (well, more Forrest Gump), we also find Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone) ou Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey).

But weren’t there dinosaurs 5 minutes before?!!

« Rajeunir » Tom Hanks et Robin Wright

If the history of Here does not focus on a short period, it still revolves around the couple and the family trained by Richard (Tom Hanks) and Margaret (Robin Wright).

To make his actors appear to be getting older (or younger, because the two are still 67 and 58 years old respectively), Zemeckis called on Metaphysic, a company specializing in deepfakesto implement digital rejuvenation techniques.

Presque Forrest Gump

The “de-aging” (digitally rejuvenating an actor) has been used in several major recent films: Captain Marvel with Samuel L. Jackson, Tron: Legacy with Jeff Bridges, Gemini Man avec Will Smith, Indiana Jones 5 with Harrison Ford, or even The Irishman with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.

Here is scheduled with us for November 13, 2024. You will have to be a little more patient to see this astonishing and unique film.
