The Pixar series derived from “Vice-Versa” which will be presented on Disney+ is ready, but be careful, it will be a little different from the films…

Pete Docter, creative director at Pixar Animation Studios, made some revelations about the series derived from the Vice-Versa universe which will land on Disney+ in 2025. In a recent interview, he gave juicy details about the show and its decor.

We finished. It will be released next spring. I’m not sure if there is a specific release date”, he told Entertainment Weekly. “In the first movie, remember we went to Dream Production to see how Riley’s dreams come true? That half explains why they’re so weird.

He continued : “We also continued to explore the power of dreams and how they affect us in our waking lives. So that’s pretty cool.

Meanwhile, Vice-Versa 2 is causing a sensation in theaters. The second part of the saga indeed proved to be a worldwide box office success and thus broke several records. With its 154.2 million dollars won, Vice-Versa 2 achieved the second-highest theatrical debut of all time for an animated film domestically and the second-highest for Pixar. It also broke the record for the best global debut for an animated film, grossing $295 million internationally.

Critically, it is not to be outdone: described as a masterpiece, it obtains a rating of 4.1 out of 5 awarded by AlloCiné spectators.

Iconic voices, old and new

For the original version, Amy Poehler once again lent her voice to Joie, and Charlotte Le Bon to us. The film, directed by Kelsey Mann from a screenplay by Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein, follows Riley (voiced by Kensington Tallman in English and Clara Poincaré in French) and the emotions that play out in her head.

Other actors who reprized their roles include Phyllis Smith/Marilou Berry (Sadness), Lewis Black/Gilles Lelouche (Anger), Diane Lane/Françoise Cadol (The Mother), Kyle MacLachlan/Alexis Victor (The Father). If the voices of Disgust and Fear were changed in the original version, moving respectively from Mindy Kaling to Liza Lapira and from Bill Hader to Tony Hale, with us, they remain dubbed by Mélanie Laurent and Pierre Niney.

Anxiety, Envy and Embarrassment make their appearance, respectively voiced by Maya Hawke/Dorothée Pousseo, Ayo Edebiri/Kaycie Chase and Paul Walter Hauser/Maxime Hoareau. The same goes for the new arrival Ennui whose voice is that of Adèle Exarchopoulos in English and French.

Vice-Versa 2 is currently showing at your nearest cinema. The first part can be seen again on Disney+.
