“The Morocco part was very stony and fast, it was complicated to stay in contact with the leaders who are traveling at 170 km/h, while our speed is limited by the regulations to 130 km/h, explains Philippe Champigné. The last step was complicated, with a belt problem which damaged the variator. Today we are carrying out oil changes and other services, our mechanics do it wonderfully! The race will restart in Mauritania. »
First in class
This is the fourth participation of Philippe Champigné and Bruno Robin, who finished 2e in their category a year ago. “There are currently 7 of use of the general (SSV, cars and trucks), 3e in SSV all categories and 1is an original T4 SSV ».
The Deux-Sévriens took in the truck school supplies intended for a school in Dakar, footballs, bags and clothing offered by the Celles-sur-Belle football club and sponsors.
