Saturday evening, around 6:30 p.m., while freezing rain fell on the region, firefighters were called to intervene in a road accident, on the RD8, in the commune of Chalange (Orne ).
Only one light vehicle involved ended up on the side of the roadway. Two people on board were trapped in the car, but when help arrived, the two people, one 65 year old man and one 59 year old womanhad gotten out of the vehicle.
The occupants were not hospitalized
The emergency centers of Courtomer (Orne) (rescue and assistance vehicle for victims and medium rural tanker truck) and Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe (road rescue ton pump van), intervened at the scene of the accident, i.e., nine firefighters, under the orders of captain Laurent Deliongroup leader.

The two occupants of the vehicle were not hospitalized. The soldiers of the community of brigades of Sées gendarmeriealso went to the scene to regulate traffic.
The Orne department was placed on orange alert for freezing rain, snow, ice, Saturday January 4, from 4 p.m. The Sdis of Orne says it intervened seven times for traffic accidents linked to this event.
