And this is likely to happen again for many years. The people of Finistère do not have the equivalent of the rooms in and Saint-Brieuc. Heading this Saturday to Guilers and Sunday to Saint-Brieuc for the athletes of the Finistère committee. And some will have to go to both sites.

This is the case of cadet Alice Lavoué, the nugget of CA Bigouden, who will compete in four events: the 60 m, the long jump, the 200 m and the 4×200 m with her club friends.

“She just gave us a superb 7”85 out of 60 in Saint-Brieuc, last December 21,” informs her trainer Laurent Motreff. “I think that in Guilers, she will have the best time of all the athletes present, including juniors, hopefuls and seniors,” he adds. Still a little far from the 7''71, departmental record held by Maïwenn L'Héveder. “But Alice has only been doing athletics for two years. She used to go surfing and horse riding.”

Trained at CA Bigouden by Laurent Motreff and Jonathan Autret, the 16-year-old teenager follows the same educational path as Agathe Guillemot. A first year student at Cesson-Sévigné high school, she joined the athletics section of the establishment. “This can only help it progress,” concludes Laurent Motreff.

On Saturday, the new Bigoudène arrow will be on track in Guilers and, on Sunday, in Saint-Brieuc.
