A STIHL brand brush cutter is being recalled due to a part that could come loose and cause injury. The Rappel Conso site calls on consumers to return the product to the point of sale so that it can be repaired.

At the start of January, you have surely planned to prune your trees or clear your land. But be careful, be vigilant and check that your brush cutter is not affected: the Rappel Conso site published, this Wednesday, January 8, a sheet announcing the recall of a STIHL brand brush cutter.

“Risk of injury”

“During a quality check, anomalies were noted on the gearhead. If the machine is used with a duro-cutter knife, this could lead to breakage of the output shaft. The cutting tool could become detached and present a risk of injury to the user or people nearby,” it is detailed.

The serial number is between 193125214 and 196108925. The product has been marketed since October 14, 2022 in many specialized brands across .

All distributors affected by the recall action have been informed by STIHL France by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. These also inform customers by RAR mail.

Machine repair

The Rappel Conso site invites consumers to “no longer use the product and return it to the point of sale”.

Furthermore, it is specified that customers will benefit from the repair of their faulty brush cutter. The recall procedure closes on September 30, 2025.
