[Digital Business Africa] – The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group announced on January 1, 2025 the appointment of Joseph ABENA to the position of Regional Director of Marketing and Communication for the CEMAC region. This promotion is part of a desire to strengthen the presence and impact of UBA in this strategic region.

Joseph ABENA, until now Marketing and Brand Communication Director of UBA Cameroon, sees himself propelled to a regional role. An ambitious regional mission
In his new role, Mr. ABENA will bring his expertise in strategic marketing, brand management, digital marketing, advertising and crisis communications to all UBA subsidiaries in the CEMAC region, covering Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Chad. He will also continue to serve as Marketing and Communication Director for UBA Cameroon, while reporting directly to the Marketing and Communication Director of the UBA Group.
