From Vivaldi to Beethoven via the legendary “Nutcracker” by Tchaikovsky, the Classical classics will be in the spotlight, from January 24 to 26 in the Pays de la Loire, as part of the second edition of “Ma Région Virtuose”wanted by Christelle Morançais. Unveiled this Wednesday, the festival program “aims to highlight these works which tell stories, unfold narratives, and speak to everyone through their pictorial and poetic character“, says René Martin, its artistic director. The ticket office is now open.
Eleven towns in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée in the spotlight
The Théâtre de Verre in Châteaubriant, Atlantia in La Baule, the Equinoxe in Savenay, the Saint-Gilles and Val Saint-Martin theater in Pornic, the Louis-Claude-Roux room and the Le Marais theater in Challans, that of Pierre- Barouh aux Herbiers, the Vouvant village hall or the René-Cassin cultural space in Fontenay-le-Comte, Les Atlantes in Sables-d'Olonne, Le Manège and the theater of La Roche-sur-Yon as well as Vendéspace and the Saint-Sauveur church of L'Ile d'Yeu were chosen for welcome choirs, ensembles and orchestras.
Like last year, high school students will also be able to enjoy the event. Seventeen establishments will host concerts between January 23 and 24, enough introduce some 41,000 students to classical music. The latter will be out and about again since events are planned in five “major lines of the Aléop network” as well as in TER trains such as the Nantes-Châteaubriant or Nantes-Challans-Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie lines.
