Côte-d’Or. The Ecologists “throw into the municipal elections”

“Creating the conditions to lead municipalities and carry out municipal and intermunicipal projects capable of responding to the challenges of tomorrow”: this is the ambition of the Ecologists of Côte-d’Or, who are starting, at the beginning of January 2025, the preparation of municipal elections 2026.

“Ensuring the coherence of public policies”

“As we begin a pivotal year, the one which marks the end of the first quarter of a century, the ecological emergency has never been so palpable,” they write in a press release signed by the two departmental co-secretaries, Carole Bernhard and Billy Chretien. “To meet the challenges, we must move faster, further and ensure the coherence of public policies,” they add. Their objective is to “transform a system based on predation into a sustainable and equitable model”.

“Open working groups”

In view of the next elections, the Côte-d'Oriens Ecologists call on “all those who share our vision to join our open working groups, where everyone can contribute to building concrete solutions to: strengthen public services, develop sustainable mobility, rethink housing, protect the environment, and guarantee local, quality food.”

“With this dynamic, we not only want to act locally, but also influence national and European policies by showing that change begins here, in Côte-d’Or,” they conclude.
