Several road exits on the South Shore of Quebec

After a day of snow and blowing snow on Thursday, visibility was good on the roads Friday morning.

However, the roadway was slippery in certain places on the South Shore of Quebec. Three truck drivers lost control of their vehicles, but were not injured.

Around 7 a.m., a 16 m (53 foot) truck left the road near Saint-Apollinaire. The accident occurred on Highway 20, at kilometer 289.

The heavy goods vehicle should be towed during the morning, according to Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

Other events

In Saint-Flavien, a truck deviated from its trajectory at kilometer 277 of Highway 20 eastbound. The right lane was closed to traffic around 7:30 a.m.

On the Lévis side, a heavy goods vehicle left the road around midnight on Highway 20, at kilometer 322.

As of Friday morning, the vehicle had still not been towed and remained in the ditch. “The towing will be done during the day,” says Ms. Dorsainville.

The day before, another road trip involving a heavy truck occurred on Route 277, in Saint-Henri. The truck was carrying eggs.
