In a press release published today, the Ministry of Health recalled that this period is marked in Tunisia, like all countries, by the spread of respiratory diseases.
“Updated data at the national and international level confirm that the viruses currently circulating have been identified and do not present major worrying risks for public health,” assures the ministry.
And added that daily monitoring of the health situation is ensured in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO). In this context, the ministry affirmed that it has a plan to act in the event of a possible epidemic.
The minister also recalled the need for vaccination to prevent the main viruses, particularly for children, infants, seniors and people affected by chronic illnesses.
Ultimately, the ministry called for the need to be vigilant against rumors and to rely on official information published by the Ministry of Health.
