Rail traffic between Charleroi-Central and La Louvière-Sud has been restored, indicates SNCB. A train breakdown occurred earlier this Friday morning due to icing on the catenaries.
Rail traffic gradually resumed around 12:40 p.m. between the Charleroi-Central and La Louvière-Sud stations, SNCB said on Friday. Delays and cancellations of trains nevertheless remain possible.
Rail traffic was interrupted in the morning following a breakdown linked to ice on the catenaries which hampered the passage of current between the catenaries and the trains. The problem has now been resolved and trains are running again.
Residual disruptions remain possible and SNCB therefore advises travelers to remain attentive to audio announcements and to consult station screens or the trip planner on its site or application.
