The year begins with a magnificent aurora borealis, visible in Charente: have you seen it? Do you have photos?

Pink, red, purple at nightfall. A phenomenon that we see more when we are close to the polar circle than at our latitudes. Under the action of solar storms, the excited atmosphere lights up. When we are in Lapland, these auroras appear rather greenish but with the roundness of the Earth, from , we only see the upper part, red.

At least twice in 2024, Charente has already benefited from these astonishing Northern Lights. Last April and October. CL had received a shower of photos, each more beautiful than the last.
