Anne and Sophie Cordin hate being called “the twins” but are categorical: “There can only be one pair of twins in yellow dresses doing sketches in France…” So cheeky, so they already are before even applying for the casting of the show “Nus et culottés” on France 5. Imagined in 2012 by the duo Nans and Mouts, the series follows their journeys, which they begin completely naked. The objective is to accomplish a challenge that they have set for themselves (seeing the Northern Lights, taking a hot air balloon ride, etc.), and of course, to be able to feed and clothe themselves, counting on the generosity of the people they they meet on their way.
The Cordin sisters, both living in Bordeaux, have been fans of the show since its beginnings. “They’re half funny, half crazy!” » they agree. “I was already wondering what the experience would be like with women,” Sophie recalls. By a strange coincidence, they are given the opportunity to find out for themselves. True hitchhiking professionals, as Anne assures, the Cordins both have a taste for adventure. When Sophie discovered the Mad Jacques association, which organizes a hitchhike race every summer from Creuse, she subscribed to their newsletter, which relays the opening of casting for the show “Nus et culottés” in 2022.

Neither one nor two, the duo embarks on the adventure, in the middle of the Avignon Festival: “We left on a spring break, in the heat of the day, with the aim of flying a kite at Lake Monteux, in Provence. » They then have to shoot and edit a video of their trip over twenty-four hours before the month of July. “It was the right season, with enough leaves to be able to present yourself to people properly. » More than two years later, Anne and Sophie are still surprised by the generosity of those they met: “A waitress gave us the shoes she was wearing! ” Besides, going naked didn’t end up being a problem for them: “We feel strong, capable of anything,” assures Sophie. Supported by Anne: “And the people who help us give us confidence in ourselves. »

What did they learn from it as women? The sisters insist: they did not have a bad encounter. “The men we met were mostly surprised. It was almost us who were scary sometimes! » But their enthusiasm and their smile, “plus the fact that we are twins”, above all attract a form of benevolent curiosity. Which Anne nevertheless asks: “I would still like to test the experience again without a camera, to see if people come to see us as much. »

Finally, these are three adventures in the simplest of devices that Anne and Sophie will have managed to complete… so as not to be held back by Nans and Mouts. “Last time, we left more for fun than with any real hope at the end. » It’s without regret. “We experience so much in a few days instead of staying on the couch! » To hear them, everyone should get naked and cheeky.
