“Following his fall during official training for the Bormio downhill on Friday December 27, Cyprien Sarrazin underwent an operation the same day consisting of resolving an intracranial hematoma,” recalls Doctor Stéphane Bulle, doctor of the French alpine ski team, in a message relayed by the FFS. “The recovery phase carried out on Saturday December 28 went well and his state of health is stable. He left the intensive care unit and was hospitalized in a care unit. A long period of recovery then rehabilitation followed. is now engaged and the duration of his unavailability is currently undetermined.”

On December 27, Cyprien Sarrazin lost control of his skis on the last difficulty of the Stelvio slope before flying off a bump then bouncing violently on the slope before being stopped by the protective nets. After twenty minutes of treatment, he was evacuated “conscious” by helicopter to a hospital in a neighboring town of Bormio.
