This first day of the year 2025 begins under a bright sky. Clouds are circulating in the East and along the slopes. One or two drops cannot be ruled out this Wednesday morning, but overall the weather is pleasant. Like the day before, the blanket settles on the tops before midday. Showers are expected to be limited indoors in the afternoon. The thermometer climbs to 33°C.
This Wednesday 1is January 2025 promises to be hot and rainy. The sun is present across the entire island from the early hours of the year. A few clouds circulate along the slopes, inland and along the coast of the windward coast. Showers are forecast towards Sainte-Rose and Takamaka.
This bright sky will disappear at the end of the morning with the installation of cloud cover, a little less dark than the day before.
“In the afternoon, gloomy weather prevails throughout the territory, sunny beaches become very rare, seasonal showers are expected, preferably in mountainous areas”writes Météo-France La Réunion. The sky generally clears in the early evening.
The easterly flow is weak. A few small gusts are expected in the North and towards Le Port. A regime of breezes reigns in the other sectors.
Despite the gloomy weather the day before, the maximum temperatures remain above seasonal norms. Forecasters expect 31 to 33°C on the coast, 26 in Hell-bourg as in Cilaos and 30°C in La Nouvelle. The thermometers fell slightly at Maïdo (18°C) and at Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob (19°C).
