We also expect 800 calls during the night, compared to 600 usually.” “It's been a busy year but the police have done a remarkable job.”observed the prefect.
He then continued to Sdis before going to the emergency department of the University Hospital. François Xavier-Lauch took the opportunity to meet the caregivers on duty on the evening of the 31st. After visits to the departmental military delegation and the administrative detention center in Sète, the prefect ended his tour at the police headquarters.
As for the mayor, he started it at the Jean-Guizonnier barracks, in La Mosson, with the 28 firefighters mobilized for the night, some of whom were also on intervention. “I start with you every year because if I come later, you're out, joked Michaël Delafosse, recalling that New Year's Eve can be lively. We hope for a calm evening. Thank you for the work you do. I hope that in 2025, we will inaugurate the city's third barracks, in Montpellier south.” Before wishing a happy new year to the whole team and moving on to the following stages of his tour: the Tam maintenance center, the AHM solidarity New Year's Eve, the CHU or even the police station, at 10 p.m., where he joined the prefect.
