TF1, France 2, M6… TV pulls out all the stops for New Year’s Eve, the program channel by channel

For some, December 31 is synonymous with large tables, festive menus and wild evening until the end of the night. For others, it will be more a quiet evening at home, taking time for yourself (and taking out your best blanket in front of the TV)!

Finally, calm down… Many television channels are celebrating New Year's Eve, with quite a program for the evening of Tuesday December 31, 2024. Overview of what the main ones are planning.

TF1

The No. 1 TNT channel (18.7% by audiences in 2024, with monthly coverage of more than 58.7 million viewers, according to annual data from Médiamétrie) sees things big for the Nouvel .

Tuesday December 31, 2024, the festivities begin 21 h 10 on TF1, with the “Big Bloopers of 31”. Hosted by Christophe Beaugrand and Karine Ferri, the show announces prestigious guests, like Dave, Michèle Bernier, Marianne James, Nelson Monfort or even Jean-Pierre Foucault, Natasha Saint-Pierre and Cristina Cordula.

Then, at 23 h 45you can follow a great show coupled with fireworks. A major show, presented by Nikos Aliagas and Marseille rapper Soprano from the Château de Chantilly. Soprano will also sing alongside numerous choristers.

Back to square one then, with the rebroadcast of the first edition of the “Grand Bêtisier du 31”. Hosts Karine Ferri and Christophe Beaugrand are waiting for you (again), but this time at 0 h 25.

France 2

Then head to France 2. From 21 h 05viewers will be entitled to “The Great Evening of Paris 31”. The show, broadcast live from the Champs-Élysées in Paris, is presented by Stéphane Bern.

Artists like David Hallyday, Chimène Badi, Lio and even Eddy de Pretto, Amir, K-Maro and Titouan (4th in Junior Eurovision 2024) will follow. Not to mention the presence of dancers from the Moulin Rouge and Paradis Latin, as well as the Phénix and Folies Gruss circuses.

Time to celebrate the new year and, to continue to place 2025 under the sign of Music, France 2 is rebroadcasting the concert Stars 80 !, which was held at the Zénith de Nantes during the 2022/2023 tour. Start of the festivities at 00:25.

Night owls will then be able to enjoy the rebroadcast, at 2:30 a.m., of a Gims concert from the Vuitton Foundation, in tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat.

And as a bonus, the next day, you can be moved by the big Vienna New Year 2025 concert, offered live at 12:15 p.m. (still on channel 2).

France 3 does not change its habits

Some TNT channels, on the other hand, have chosen not to change their habits for New Year's Eve. France 3for example, prefers to rebroadcast episodes of its detective series all evening Alexandra Ahle of the 21 h 05.

Before a more cultural turn, with a documentary on Fontainebleau broadcast from 1 h 45.

Canal+

We start to 21 h 05 by a compilation of the “best of season 14” – a change of scenery guaranteed in Kazakhstan, San Francisco or even German Bavaria -, then by the rebroadcast of an episode filmed in Norway.

Then, shortly before 23 h, C in the air takes over the controls with the rebroadcast of an episode presented by Lorrain Sénéchal.

M6

Rhinestones and glitter, finally! There sixth channel of TNT invites you to spend New Year's Eve in his company. It starts from 18 h 35with an episode of “All in the kitchen” by Cyril Lignac special “holiday menus”.

Something to whet your appetite before a special evening “M6 celebrates the 31st” from the Paris Dome. From 21 h 10Élodie Gossuin and Agustín Galiana end 2024 and welcome 2025 with music, with many guests throughout the night: Julien Doré, Pierre Garnier, Christophe Willem, Hélène Ségara, Chimène Badi, Vitaa, Eddy de Pretto, Clara Luciani, etc.

The festivities then resume with a vengeance 12:05 a.m. on M6 with the troop of Stars 80 !Mika, Jeanne Mas, Slimane or even Jean-Baptiste Guégan, Emile et Images and Lou Bega.

Without (big) surprise, the Franco-German channel until does not offer any special treatment for New Year's Eve. On the other hand, for fans of (old) films, you can go to 20 h 55 to watch The Great Gold Train Attack (1978) with Sean Connery and the late Donald Sutherland.

A little music, however, at the end of the evening: at 10:45 p.m., the seventh TNT channel rebroadcasts an episode of the program “The great moments of classical music”, devoted Tuesday to the Vienna Opera and Rudolf Nureyev.

C8

Despite its setbacks with Arcom and the reallocation of TNT frequencies, C8 keep fishing.

To liven up its New Year's Eve, the channel is banking on Patrick Sébastien and his popular “Largest cabaret in the world”. From 21 h 09(re)find a show that took place in 2021 on the Zénith de Nantes stage and which will honor many artists from the world stage.

Patrick Sébastien will always be in the spotlight this December 31, 2024 since 23 h 15, C8 offers “Sébastien’s Nuggets”. A compilation of the best moments spent by and with the host over recent decades.

W9

W9 of TNT is also celebrating the transition to 2025, and with humor… literally. This Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the ninth TNT channel opted for “Marrakech of laughter”.

Viewers can meet at 21 h 10 to follow the rebroadcast of the eighth edition of the humor festival, presented by Jamel Debbouze. On the menu: a multitude of sketches provided by Kev Adams, Élie Semoun, Élodie Poux, Jeff Panacloc and even Camille Lellouche and Ahmed Sylla.

The evening continues at 23 h 30 with the 10th anniversary of “Marrakech du Rire” and a new rebroadcast of the festival (that of 2022). And a plethora of other comedians.

TMC

On TMCit's the Enfoirés troupe who invites themselves to host the New Year's Eve evening. The 10th television channel rebroadcasts at 21 h 25 the 2018 edition of the popular musical show, recorded from the Zénith in Strasbourg.

HAS 23 h 50jump back: the Enfoirés are still there but it is the 2017 show which is playing on TMC.

NRJ12

Who says music channel, says music, obviously! THE NRJ Music Tour Toulousewhich was held in mid-July this summer 2024, is available from 21 h 10.

It follows, at 23 h 20a show dedicated to musicals and bringing together the big names of the genre on stage for more than two hours.

France 4

As C8, France 4 highlights the circus arts this evening of December 31, 2024, with the new show by the Bouglione family. Acrobats, clowns, magicians… 21 hplace at “Delirium at the Bouglione Winter Circus in Paris”.

To continue this New Year's Eve with a family atmosphere, France 4 then broadcasts, from 22 h 25the musical tale “Piccolo, Saxo and Company”. Before a dive behind the scenes of the Opéra Bastille (at 23 h 05) and a documentary on the film ET by Spielberg (at 23 h 15).
