While the years go by, sometimes a little too quickly, traditions remain. Thus, like every January for several years, the town of Saint-Alban celebrates the new year with a performance by the Tarn orchestral ensemble! This classical music group, which was founded in 2002, quickly enjoyed major success. From now on, the orchestra performs in large halls in the Deep South. The 2025 concert will be held on Sunday January 19 at 5:00 p.m., in the Saint-Alban village hall, under the direction of Pierre Caner. This native of Tarn has been immersed in music since the age of 4, learning the piano. Entering the national regional conservatory of Toulouse in 1982, he became the recipient of numerous prestigious distinctions. Successively a teacher in various music schools, since 2008, he has directed a writing workshop at the Tarn music and dance conservatory. The Saint-Alban New Year's concert is a musical interlude that combines moments of grace, warmth and hope…A beautiful moment of sharing to start the year! Prices for this performance: €8, €5 and free for children under 12.
