Too large to slip into the chimney, the new children's game from the Pinsan estate was delivered directly to the site by Santa's elves. A tad ahead of the global distribution of gifts.
According to the first feedback from young adventure experts, the order placed by the City of Eysines is completely satisfactory. A large tower in cabin mode, its little sister, a suspension bridge connecting the two, two slides, a fireman's pole, something to climb… The daring are spoiled for choice.
Wood chips
This new element comes at the right time for the 40th anniversary of Pinsan, a 50-hectare natural space where joggers, walkers, football players, skateboarders meet every day… “We did a lot of research before deciding. We wanted to install a wooden structure. We opted for black locust, a resistant species, naturally fungicidal,” explains Jean-Luc Mesplède, deputy for living environment and technical services.
The game was custom made. Six cubic meters of concrete were needed to stabilize it. A thickness of 40 centimeters of wood shavings ensures the soft appearance of the floor. Over time, the structure will inevitably take on a gray tint in contact with the sun and bad weather.
Beach sports area
Between the purchase of the equipment and the installation work, the project costs 100,000 euros. “We will eventually put more picnic tables around,” specifies the elected official. A beady-eyed wild boar has also appeared in the landscape, providing an ideal mount.
Note that the spider, very popular with climbers, and the game of the youngest have also benefited from a mattress of shock-absorbing chips. During 2025, a beach sports area should emerge a few meters away. It will allow you to practice several sports (volleyball, soccer, sandball, rugby, etc.) in a beach atmosphere. This investment will complete the new sports leisure center inaugurated in September.
