From Saturday December 28, 2024 until Thursday January 30, 2025, the Halle & Arts space of the Hauts Tolosans Tourist Office will host a unique exhibition by the painter Frédérique Pascal. Entitled “Couleurs d’ailleurs”, this exhibition offers a vibrant immersion in landscapes inspired by the artist’s numerous travels around the world. With more than twenty paintings on display, this exhibition promises to be a true invitation to travel, where each painting tells a story that is both personal and universal. A meeting between imagination and reality.
Originally from Toulouse and residing in Tournefeuille, Frédérique Pascal, a retired teacher, has always painted as an amateur. Winner of several prizes, notably awarded by the city of Blagnac and the Salon du Fousseret, she became known through exhibitions in the Toulouse region, notably at the “La Fonderie” gallery. With this new series of works, Frédérique Pascal invites us to travel to the heart of a universe where the imagination dialogues with memories. Inspired by his own photos taken in Indonesia, Romania, Egypt, Spain, Hong Kong, Azores, Pyrenees, or even on the banks of the Tarn, his paintings depict landscapes in colorful and evocative compositions. Each work, in a medium format ranging between 80 and 100 cm, plays with contrasts between stylized flat areas and minute graphic details, to offer a poetic and personal vision of these distant horizons. A special moment with the artist. The public will have the opportunity to meet Frédérique Pascal during a morning meeting on Saturday January 11, 2025. This unique opportunity will allow visitors to discuss with the artist about her career, her inspirations and her creative process.
