Explanation of the post-credits scene of Squid Game season 2
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Warning: the lines to follow contain spoilers! ⚠️⚠️⚠️
The South Korean series aired its season 2 on Boxing Day, December 26. The post-credits scene shows us a new game of 1, 2, 3 Soleil, an emblematic event of Squid Game. In an interview, the creator of this ultra-popular Netflix program tells us more.
“It's actually a preview of Cheol-su who, like Young-hee, is a new giant doll that we're going to introduce in season 3. It's also a hint on the most exciting game of season 3. Even though nothing has been revealed yet, I hope everyone can't wait to meet Cheol-su and experience this new game.”explains Hwang Dong-hyuk.
As a reminder, Young-hee is an animatronic doll which monitors the movements of players to instantly kill those who lost during the game. As for Cheol-su, he is an additional robot in the form of a little school boy.
It is therefore very possible that in season 3 of Squid Game, the robot duo eliminates even more players in brutal fashion. The bloodbath therefore promises to be very violent when these new episodes are released which will show us if, finally, this terrible competition which serves to entertain the richest while taking advantage of the distress of the poor will be dismantled. See you in 2025 on Netflix.
