A plane carrying 181 people crashed at Muan International Airport in southwestern South Korea, killing at least 28 people, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said Sunday.
“175 passengers and 6 crew members are on board a plane that crashed at Muan airport,” the agency said. Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 had taken off from Bangkok and was heading for continued rescue operations with casualties reported.
At least two people were saved, according to firefighters.
So far, two people have been rescued, a passenger and a crew member,” the fire service said in a statement.
