The Head of State returned to the ceremonies marking the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the “Thiaroye Massacre”, which enjoyed exceptional national and international success. He expressed his thanks to the Heads of State and the foreign delegations who participated in the events. He congratulated the Prime Minister and his Government, the Commemoration Committee led by Professor Mamadou DIOUF and the members of the said Committee, the Armed Forces and all the people who, directly or indirectly, have carried out remarkable work. To revive the memory of these valiant African riflemen, he reminded the Government of its decision to establish in the Republican calendar the date of December 1 of each year, the day of commemoration of the “Massacre of the Tirailleurs of Thiaroye 44”. In the same spirit, he asked the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Armed Forces to propose a regulatory framework relating to the Museum-Memory-Cemetery of Thiaroye. He also invited the Government to strengthen the role of the Commemoration Committee in its missions of research and school and university popularization of collective memory on this major sequence in the history of the continent.
Returning to the results and prospects of the national “Daara” day, the President of the Republic congratulated the Minister of National Education, the religious leaders and the “daara” community in all its components for the perfect organization and the success of the third edition of the national “Daara” day. He asked the Minister of National Education and all stakeholders to prepare the upcoming holding of the National Conference on “daara” in order to implement from 2025 a new consensual roadmap to establish development, on all the plans, from “daara” to Senegal.
Addressing the question of the full application of the Pastoral Code and the relaunch of livestock breeding, the Head of State asked the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock to relaunch the organization of National Livestock Day. This national benchmark event must remain a privileged moment of consultation and dialogue between the State and Livestock stakeholders, but also an inclusive body for evaluating and accelerating the transformation of the sub-sector.
He invited the Minister in charge of Livestock, in conjunction with the Minister of Finance and Budget, to relaunch the financing of the Livestock sub-sector with a significant strengthening of the resources and operational mechanisms of the Stabulation Fund ( FONSTAB).
Finally, the President of the Republic mentioned the working visit to Senegal by the President of the Gabonese Republic, Brigadier General Brice Oligui NGUEMA, accompanied by a strong ministerial delegation. Several areas for strengthening cooperation and partnerships between our two countries were particularly selected (education, training, security and defense, private sector development, etc.). He asked the Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs to ensure coordination of these priority files with the Ministers concerned.

After noting the imperative need for the Government to be permanently guided by the culture of results-based management, the Prime Minister called on Ministers and Secretaries of State to take charge of the immense challenges attached to the implementation implementation of the 2050 Agenda for systemic transformation of Senegal.
In this context, the Prime Minister asked the Minister, Secretary General of the Government, to coordinate the work to finalize his General Policy Declaration which he intends to carry out as soon as possible before the new National Assembly.
