300 Danish flags were distributed to the public. In the crowd, amazed little girls. “It’s strange, a princess in a store,” asks a little girl.

Others, playing with their flags, wonder why she didn’t come in a carriage and where the knights are.

Approaching the top of the majestic fir tree, Haut-Savoyard Antoine Mesnage made a round trip on a highline installed for the occasion.

In an inaugural gesture, Princess Marie of Denmark lit up the sky with an aurora borealis, inspired by the nocturnal landscapes of Greenland. This visual curiosity will be repeated every evening in December.

Once inside, a choir, made up exclusively of children from the Balmettes choir, performed a traditional Danish Christmas carol in honor of the princess.
