2024 Legislative Elections. In Eure-et-Loir, discover the results, municipality by municipality

With a national participation rate which ultimately flirts with 70%, it is a participation record for thirty years. The French turned out in large numbers to vote in the first round of the legislative elections.

In Eure-et-Loir, at 5 p.m., as communicated by the prefecture on its X feed (ex-Twitter), the participation rate reached 56,93 %or 17.89 points more than in the first round of the 2022 legislative elections at the same time!

2.7 million proxies

A sign of the French people’s enthusiasm for this election is the considerable number of proxies, some 2,7 millions which have been established since June 10, according to the Ministry of the Interior, four times higher than that of two years ago.

Polling stations opened at 8 a.m. and the vast majority closed at 6 p.m. In Chartres, they closed at 8 p.m.

At the level of the Eure-et-Loir department, voters had to decide for twenty-three candidates spread across the four constituencies.

Once the results are known, it will be time for withdrawals and possible triangular elections in the constituencies.
