« Les Bleus are winning, but they can do better. They are evolving positively and gaining confidence. They are favourites to win the Euro. In Spain, we are not in love with the French game, but we respect it. If we face each other in the semi-final, it will be very complicated. When they score goals, they will be even more dangerous. (Laughs.) We expect more from the French team, a different rhythm and more spectacle. Criticisms concern Deschamps a very defensive coach who doesn’t change his way of seeing football much. Mbappé is not extraordinary, but we know what he is capable of doing. There is no doubt that he is the best player of the Blues, especially for the Madrilenians. We love him in Spain, it’s a potential Ballon d’Or winner he is the one who brings the danger, even if he is not at his best. »
