At the end of October, the Ticket for Change association launched Ticket Camp in Essonne, a support program for entrepreneurship with a social and environmental impact intended for Ile-de- residents aged 18 to 28. Twenty-five people were detained. “These young people will work in teams for four months on innovative solutions to respond to societal challenges that are important to them. We started with a four-day launch seminar on the Orgemont estate, followed by online masterclasses and mentoring, says Laura Chateigner, head of youth programs at Ticket for Change. During the closing ceremony, participants will present the pitch of their projects to our partners in the social and solidarity economy, and the Essonne region.”

“We chose this area mainly because of the presence of Saclay University as well as numerous engineering schools”

This is the first time that the association has offered a program of such duration to an Ile-de-France audience under 30 years old. Since its launch in 2014, Ticket for Change has supported people who wish to undertake business in the service of ecological and social transition. “We have training and support programs for different types of audiences: young people who want to develop their entrepreneurial posture and launch projects, entrepreneurs who are at the idea stage, as well as experienced entrepreneurs,” continues the company. responsible. The association also launched a SAS Corporate for Change – which it 100% owns – in order to support companies that are going to engage in an ecological and social transition.

The program soon elsewhere in France

Until then, the offer offered to those under 30 ranged, for example, from a 2-hour training course, within a university, to a few days of support. “We felt a real need on their part to undertake, as well as an increasingly marked awareness of the importance of acting for the ecological and social transition, with a strong quest for meaning,” notes Laura Chateigner.

The Ticket for Camp program will be offered every year in the Essonne department. “We chose this area mainly because of the presence of Paris Saclay University, as well as numerous engineering schools. We have developed partnerships with establishments, local associations (Unis-Cité for example) and with public actors via local missions, underlines Laura Chateigner. They relayed information about our new program.”

In 2025, the objective is to deploy Ticket for Camp in other territories: in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Hauts-de-France as well as in rural areas, in partnership with the Chemins d'avenirs association, which is aimed at young people from rural areas and small towns.
