Abstention, participation, best scores, here are the most significant figures to remember after the first round of legislative elections in Haute-Vienne.
Since Sunday evening, the figures have been coming in from all sides, and the calculations from the beginning of the week have not helped matters. In Haute-Vienne, here are the most significant ones. Where did the most people vote? Where did each party make a significant breakthrough?
The RN is doing well in small towns
The National Rally candidates exceeded 50% of the vote in 7 communes of Haute-Vienne, mainly in the north, in the 3rd constituency: Cromac (50.86%), Gajoubert (53.16%), Tersannes (57.69%), Magnac-Bourg (50%), Saint-Cyr (50.4%), Lavignac (53.33%) and a record in Verneuil-Moustiers (66.2% for 98 voters). In total, the RN is in the lead in 126 communes of Haute-Vienne, or almost two thirds.
Damien Maudet (NFP) popular in the south-east
As in the European elections on June 9, when only five municipalities (out of 195) did not put the RN in the lead, it was in the south-east that the New Popular Front (NFP) came out on top, with a record in Sainte-Anne-Saint-Priest (57.39%). Its counterpart Manon Meunier, in the 3rd constituency, only exceeded 50% in Jabreilles-les-Bordes (50.66%).
Record number of votes and abstentions
In Haute-Vienne, Saint-Junien-les-Combes, next to Bellac, had the highest turnout with a turnout of 90.3% (for 145 registered voters). Conversely, Lussac-les-Églises was the least involved in the vote with a turnout of 60.3% (325 registered voters). In Le Dorat (1,116 registered voters), turnout was 63.3%.
And in the larger municipalities?
Concerning the communes with more than 3,500 inhabitants in Haute-Vienne, 81.5% of those registered in Verneuil-sur-Vienne voted, while Bellac is the commune with more than 2,500 inhabitants with the lowest participation (63.5%).
Couzeix for the RN, Saint-Junien for the NFP
Panazol, l’exception
Among the three candidates of the Republican Alternative, only one commune placed one of them in the lead: Panazol, the stronghold of Isabelle Négrier (38.37% with 2,368 votes).
