Dozens of races are organized every day in France. There are many ways to bet on them. The most popular, the quinté!

The Vichy-Bellerive racecourse is today the venue for the daily quinté. You only have to see the smile on Olivier Louit’s face, general delegate of the Vichy Racing Society at the racecourse, to understand the importance of this little extra.

“There is only one weekly quinté in France. In other words, all of betting in France and even abroad will have their eyes fixed on our racecourse, on Vichy.” A promotion that will be broadcast on screens, radios and newspapers. In terms of image, it is worth all the advertising posters. “And this will happen eight times this season. Five times on the trot, three on the gallop. Imagine that racecourses are fighting to have at least one quinté, that some are seeing their allocation cancelled. Think that for the gallop festival, the quinté will be contested three days in a row at Vichy.”

So why this windfall at the Vichy racecourse? “There are several reasons. First, the seriousness with which we organize all our races from A to Z throughout the year, the welcome given to the horses and their trainers, the quality of our tracks praised by all competitors, the beauty of the site, and the presence of a large and passionate public. Afterwards, it’s a snowball effect. Audience figures, betting volume, prize money, winnings, etc.” A windfall, then, but with quite a few constraints. “Apart from the weather, which we cannot control, we have no right to make mistakes. We must achieve excellence at all levels of the structure.” Clearly, at the racecourse, we are experienced and motivated.
