Jean-Marc Frignati, manager of the Ikigaï Academy, made a big splash at the start of summer by organizing three courses led by exceptional champions. Muay-Thai, Kick-boxing and MMA in the spotlight.

In partnership with brothers Anthony and Patrice Cera, well-known YouTubers in the field of martial arts (Cera Productions), the first course organized by Ikigaï Académie was hosted on Sunday June 23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. by Jean-Charles Skarbowsky, 2000 world champion of Muay-Thai (welterweight) and several times European champion.

Around fifty practitioners of various disciplines (karate, MMA, Thai boxing, etc.) from all over the region gathered in Jean-Marc Frignati’s room who confided: “it was a very intense afternoon which focused on elbow and knee techniques specific to Thai boxing. These courses bring visibility to our gym and allow martial arts enthusiasts in the region to rub shoulders with great champions. represents a real bargain.” At almost 50 years old, Jean-Charles Skarbowsky continues to be called upon throughout the world to train the greatest active fighters.

Two other martial arts legends will continue to follow one another. Saturday June 29, Gérald Michiara, kick boxing champion and Saturday July 6, Jordan Zabo, practicing MMA professional will go to Agen.

Emma Duprat wins another medal

At the recent French Brazilian jiu-jitsu championships, Emma Duprat climbed to the third step of the podium in – 58 kg, adult – purple belt. No medal for the other athletes of the ikigaï Academy, who had all decided to move up to the higher belt category, including Patrick Fenié, European champion in Barcelona in blue belt. Fred Bergeron, Clément Herrero (who nevertheless eliminated the reigning French champion) and Lou Ponnau, failed at the foot of the podium. A largely positive assessment nonetheless.
