Paris: Thousands of people march during the Pride march, Mila covered in flour and exfiltrated.

It was on the eve of the first round of early legislative elections that the pride march set off from the north of the capital. A procession of several tens of thousands of people headed from the Porte de la Villette to the Place de la République, reports Le Parisien.
Slogans such as “ let’s vote for our rights », « wrestling is my pride », « against transphobia: transsolidarity ” were brandished and chanted in a festive atmosphere. The organizers of this edition have also placed the fight against transphobia at the center of Pride 2024.

“In 2024, we experienced an unprecedented anti-trans campaign,” judged Anaïs Perrin-Prevelle, director of OUTrans and LGBTQ+ activist.

Between celebration and anger: Mila covered in flour
The demonstration was nevertheless punctuated by a moment of unrest when Mila, who had made comments about Islam in 2020 and who had been harassed on social networks, appeared in the procession.
The young woman, who openly displays her support for the extreme right, was pelted with flour by several demonstrators, according to numerous witnesses on the scene. She was then removed from the procession in order to avoid any escalation.

According to a police source, 50,000 to 80,000 participants were expected by the authorities.
