The Sète association In the mood for films, the city of Sète and Canal+/OCS announce the holding of the first edition of the Creatvty festival from October 9 to 12, 2024.
The words that define this new festival are borrowed from the film Varda by Agnès (2019): INSPIRATION, CREATION, SHARING.
A land of increased filming in recent years, the city of Sète and its partners are delighted to host a new event dedicated to audiovisual creation, which will highlight the wealth of creations that have passed through all stages of production by the Region. Creatvty hopes to become the major gathering place for the public and professionals around audiovisual creation in the greater Occitanie region.
Numerous audiovisual productions and cinema films will be presented in preview in the presence of the teams who will travel to meet the Sète public. For example, Seul, a film by Pierre Isoard, will be screened in the presence of actor Samuel Le Bihan. The film Saint-Ex by Pablo Agüero with Louis Garrel, Diane Kruger and Vincent Cassel will have its French premiere at Creatvty.
6 single television films, 12 animated short films, 6 web series will be in competition for a prize. Cinema films will be presented out of competition.
The jurors will be announced in September as will the complete program.
Four prizes will be awarded: Prize for best original music for a single work of fiction; Prize for best single television film; Prize for best web series; Prize for best animated short film.
The screenings and professional meetings will take place in three emblematic places in the city, at the auditorium of the Manitas de Plata Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art, at the Molière Theater and at the Comoedia Cinema.
During the day, all screenings and events will be free to enter. Evening screenings at the theatre will be available for five euros.
