Beauvais. Buses resume and strike ends at Corolis
The strike is over and bus service resumes in Beauvaisis.

After 12 days of strike, bus traffic will resume in Beauvais. The CGT announced this Friday evening, June 28, that it had reached an agreement with the management of Transdev, which manages the Corolis bus network in the Oise prefecture city. The employees are sorry once again for the inconvenience that users have suffered, but unfortunately they had no other choice“, adds the local CGT union on Facebook.

After this long standoff, management and unions have agreed on a list of measures aimed at improving employees’ purchasing power. Namely, a 4% increase in the hourly rate for salaries; €500 on the bonus for purchasing power; and the extension of the night bonus which will now go until 6:30 in the morning, compared to 5 hours before the strike. Health insurance is also under consideration. And meetings will have to be organized every month to monitor the quality of life at work.

Full recovery planned for Monday

The extension of the night bonus was the subject of tough negotiations, but the unions are satisfied. Like Khalid Ahmissou, from the CGT: “It’s goodhe said. We wanted 7 hours, well we got 6:30… We surveyed the employees before accepting. You can’t have everything after 12 days of strike“, he acknowledges. 12 days which were intense but which, according to Khalid, strengthened the cohesion between the employees. “I have never experienced this since 1998.», smiles the union representative.

Corolis warns that traffic will only resume partially this Saturday, June 29. A return to normal is announced for Monday, July 1.

This union battle was also a political battle. Beauvais elected officials from the opposition and the majority all appeared alongside the employees. The day before the agreement, Thierry Aury (PCF) wrote again to President Caroline Cayeux to ask her to weigh in on the debates. Which assures that with Vice-President Jacques Doridam, they did their part to reach this agreement.
