Violent attack in Mende: a 63-year-old tutor beaten and raped in a meeting
A burglary turned into a tragedy on Thursday, November 20, in Mende (Lozère). Three intoxicated individuals broke into the home of a host family, where they attacked the occupants with extreme violence. One of the victims, a 63-year-old tutor, was beaten before being gang raped. She suffers from serious head trauma.
A brutal intrusion into a foster home
According to police sources, the events took place in the evening. The three attackers, with the intention of burglary, broke into the family home. They first came across a teenager welcomed by the family, whom they hit violently in the face. “The teenager was injured and was bleeding profusely from his nose,” said a source close to the investigation.
Terrorized occupants
Despite his injuries, the teenager managed to take refuge in a room with another young girl. Meanwhile, the attackers headed towards the 63-year-old guardian. The latter was brutally beaten before being gang raped.
An ongoing investigation
One of the attackers was arrested shortly after the incident, but the investigation continues to identify and find the two accomplices. The seriousness of the attack has aroused strong emotion in the region, where social services and the local population say they are shocked by this unprecedented violence.
