Improve the visual appearance of Bergeracois vines. This is the great idea of the Federation and the Interprofession of and Duras Wines. The two entities have established a partnership with Desmartis nurseries, located in Bergerac.

This distribution took place under the imposing 3 hectare greenhouse, the opportunity for visitors to discover the company and to know a little more about this famous lager's: “It’s a plant called Indian lilac which is neither a lilac nor from India. It is in reality a plant with Chinese origins which was brought back to by the East India Company, hence some confusion,” explains Patrick Chassagne, manager of Desmartis nurseries.

Choose your plant wisely

This Wednesday, November 13, winegrowers registered for the operation are welcomed and advised by Fréderic Loret, head of cultivation at Desmartis nurseries. “Despite its identical appearance, lager does not have the same foliage depending on the variety. It can be purple, dark green or green. Afterwards, you have to choose your type of flowering, either early or late. Because you should know that early varieties can produce two flowers per year,
which is not the case for late arrivals”he explains precisely.
