Tamara Horacek, Chloé Valentini and Pauletta Foppa, named vice-captains of France, will have to blend into their role of supporting Estelle Nze Minko. Sébastien Gardillou, the new coach, will also have the opportunity to improve his statistics, after an initial defeat (30-27), then a victory (26-22) against Hungary.
Largely absent from this gathering, Cléopâtre Darleux was not selected by the new coach, despite a very successful start to the season with Metz.
