Why did you visit the company this week?
We are constantly recruiting, mainly for technical positions. Currently, we have four positions to fill, as an industrial line driver. Opening the doors of the company allows you to discover these professions, which are often little known. And that we also want to feminize.
Exactly, what does a line driver do in the industry?
He is a qualified operator, with an assigned machine and a process to operate. He has a production to monitor, he is able to carry out first-level maintenance, that is to say to diagnose and intervene, or to have someone intervene. He is like the driver in a car.
What profiles are you looking for?
We are recruiting job seekers. Having an appetite for technology, being a handyman is a plus. You also have to be rigorous, know how to analyze a situation, be diligent and punctual. Then we train the candidates. Good to know: age is not a criterion at all.
How does the training take place?
It lasts one year and takes place alternately, three weeks in companies and one week at the training center of the UIMM (Union of Metallurgical Trades and Industries) in Ergué-Gabéric. During this time, the candidate is an employee of the GEIQ. At the end, their training is validated by a recognized professional qualification and the company offers a permanent contract.
