René Ballière Prize at Vincennes – Horsy Dream imperial against Idao de Tillard

The race

Vivid Wise As is well on the rope side with his number 1 behind the autostart just like Idao de Tillard et Inmarosa full track. Idao de Tillard came to take the lead on the descent but Izoard Vedacquais comes to compete with him for the lead. These two are side by side on the plain followed by Vivid Wise As, Horsy Dream et Inmarosa in ambush.

The positions remain unchanged in the climb. The pace is quite sustained in this Prix René Ballière since they are in 1’08”6 at 500 meters from the finish!

At the top of the climb, the leaders accelerate. David Thomas chose this moment to shift Hokkaido Jiel who comes to attack Idao de Tillard and Izoard Védaquais.

These three are approaching the final stretch in the lead. While Idao de Tillard gave the illusion of success, Horsy Dream was able to find the opening to triumph in this René Ballière Prize. Idao de Tillard retains second place, Vivid Wise As manages to snatch third place, rope side.

Horsy Dream has had an exceptional year by winning a third Group 1 in 2024: Prix de l’Atlantique, Elitloppet and Prix René Ballière. He is doing as well asCaf Exploitthe last to have achieved the Elitloppet – Prix René Ballière double in the same year (2008).
