The second constituency of Territory of Belfort (Belfort North, Belfort West, Belfort South, Châtenois-les-Forges, Giromagny, Offemont, Rougemont-le-Château, Valdoie) sees clashes between candidates who have a certain media aura: the outgoing deputy Florian Chauche, but also the Cnews columnist Guillaume Bigot, candidate of the RN, the LR vice-president of the department Didier Vallverdu and the lawyer Josée Martinez for the presidential majority. The fight is raging in this constituency, so to decide between the candidates, they were asked to retain a single measure of their program.

Florian Chauche (NFP): purchasing power

“It is indexation of wages to inflation. We can add the blocking of prices for basic necessities, energy, gas and electricity. We have plenty of proposals to restore purchasing power to the French and above all to get the money where it is, that is to say in the pockets of the richest in this country, the CAC 40 companies which pay proportionally less taxes than our local bakers and our building craftsmen.”

Didier Vallverdu (LR): medical deserts

“I raised the issue ofhealth and installation of doctors on the territory. I think that this is really an important issue in our constituency. Today, the distribution of doctors on the national territory is not satisfactory. In Paris there are 888 doctors per 100,000 inhabitants. In the Territoire de Belfort, it is 313 and it can go down to 150 doctors per 100,000 inhabitants. So there is indeed a lot of work to be done on the location of practitioners.”

Guillaume Bigot (RN): electricity market

“The renegotiation of the rules for setting the European electricity market prices. Since we are told that this European electricity market has been reformed. Actually, that’s not true. Not only does this lead to an artificial increase in prices, but it is obviously very disadvantageous for us. Here, in our region, we know this perfectly. Since we are at the heart of the reactor for the production of nuclear energy.”

Josée Martinez (Majority): justice and education of minors

“We are taking the problem back to its roots. If these children grow up with respect for others, without having bad encounters during their young lives, we still have a greater chance of having responsible young adults afterwards. and who will not fall into delinquency.” According to her, it is necessary “that there is a criminal liability of parents of minors 16 years old.”

Simon Pheulpin (Workers’ Struggle): control of elected officials

“If there were Lutte Ouvrière candidates elected to the Assembly, they would already be putting under control all the politicians who made a whole bunch of promises during their election campaign, to denounce all the renunciations, all the dirty tricks that they could prepare. Control elected officials and company accounts also, because we are told that there is no money for salaries, pensions, unemployment, but they should open their account books a little and we will see where the money is.”

Célia Ceck (regionalist) is also a candidate in this constituency, but is not campaigning.
