She spoke to the Department of the North: “I am very honored to have been asked to participate in this unique event. The passing of the Olympic torch relay is a parenthesis, a little bubble outside of time during which everyone comes together.”
Eve Gilles has already participated in the festivities of the Olympic flame of the 2024 Olympic Games, but as a spectator. “I had the chance to attend the lighting of the cauldron in Reunion, where my mother is from and where part of my family lives.”
At the dawn of participating in the event herself, Miss France does not hide her joy: “When I think that I will soon hold the flame myself in the North, where it all began for me, it It’s like the circle has come full circle. And it’s a way of thanking all the people who supported me and allowed me to be who I am today.”
