With the creation of new parking lots and renovations in recent years, the municipality has decided to review equipment management “to cope with new services”.

So, several adjustments were voted on during the municipal council meeting on June 20, in La Roche-sur-Yon. Objective for the City: encourage the rotation of vehicles to facilitate parking for visitors, maintain access for workers who work in the city and keep residents in the city center.

The first free hour removed in the Clemenceau and Gare car parks is

The municipality noted that these two underground car parks are mainly used by long-term users.

Our wish is to prioritize assets in these two car parks.

Free parking after 6 p.m.

We will pay one hour less on-street parking in the city center.

It is the will of the City, which has therefore shortened paid parking spaces at the end of the day.

Paid parking will stop at 6 p.m.

Here is the new time slot offered: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (instead of 7 p.m. previously), and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

With the first hour free, this allows visitors who arrive at 5 p.m. to benefit completely free for the rest of the afternoon.

On-road prices change

Besides this extra hour of free timethe prices are modified.

The municipality has decided to eliminate the quarter-hour divisions.

After the free hour, motorists parked in the city will pay directly for a duration of “1 hour to 2 hours”. Rates for 15, 30 and 45 minutes are canceled.

Result: in the red zone, we will pay €1.50 directly if we wish to add an hour of parking after the hour offered. The rates of €0.50 for 30 minutes and €1 for 45 minutes of parking no longer exist.

In the orange zone, the two lowest prices (€0.40 for 30 minutes and €0.50 for 45 minutes) are also eliminated. The price starts at €0.70 for a duration of “1 hour to 2 hours”.
