Bus, waterbus, parking: how to get to Lorient Océans?

By car

You’ll have to get up early or count on your luck to hope to park as close as possible to the Lorient Océans festival! The Base matters two parking lots, along the streets of Estienne-d’Orves and Sous-Marin-Venus (near the Cité de la voile). But they are often full, even in normal times. To avoid driving in circles for hours, the easiest way might be to leave your car in the garage this weekend.

Special parking for disabled is planned for the Saturday evening concert, rue du Chalutier-La Tanche (by reservation at the box office, tel. 02 98 47 94 54).

And bus

Without doubt the most accessible solution. Izilo is adapting its offer, from this Friday June 27 to Sunday June 30, 2024, to transport the public as close as possible to the festival sites. A day pass, sold for €3, will allow unlimited travel until the end of the service.

The public transport service will be reinforced with departures every 30 minutes and extended hours until 1 a.m. The bus line T2 (Lanester exhibition center – Lorient La Base) will run every 30 minutes, until 12:30 a.m., Friday and Saturday (every hour, until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday). A correspondence will be ensured with the line T1a (which serves Lorient) at the “Campus Lettre” stop, Saturday, at 11:49 p.m. and 12:39 a.m.

THE lines 11 and 13 also serve La Base (La Perrière, Slipway or Fishing Port stops).

On a boat

It’s the ideal means of transport for residents of the Left Bank! The water buses will also be reinforced this weekend. THE lignes maritimes B2 (Port-Louis – Lorient) and B3 (Locmiquélic – Lorient) will run every 30 minutes, until 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, Izilo puts into service a special maritime line Port-Louis – Locmiquélic – Lorientevery hour, from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will serve the “La Base – Cité de la voile” stop, at the K3D pontoon near the K3 blockhouse.

The Izilo day pass at €3 is also valid for water buses.

By bike

Bicycle parking spaces will be installed on site, near the entrances. A relay system is planned for people with reduced mobility in partnership with Syklett. By simply calling, two tricycles will take you to the main village from the parking lot for people with reduced mobility (tel. 06 10 57 31 92).

By little train

A little train sponsored by Caliéco transports festival-goers between the different villages of Lorient Océans. It is accessible with the Sloop and runs every hour, during Village opening hours.
