The City of Montauban continues its series of works, this time in the Grand Rue Sapiac district. The City of Ingres is planning a month of disruptions from the 1stis July due to a rehabilitation of the wastewater network. The construction of open trenches on the Tescou bridge will require a diversion in the lower part of the sector which experiences significant daily traffic.

Deviations to be expected during the work

The Grand Rue Sapiac sector is usually crossed by significant road traffic. But that will change for a month. Indeed, its lower part, that is to say from the bridge to the roundabout rue de l’Abbaye, will be closed to traffic. Thus, parking for local residents will be prohibited during the active phases of the construction site. However, access to the properties will be maintained in all circumstances. As will two-way traffic from Rue du Tescou to Allée du Consul-Dupuy.

Furthermore, to guarantee access to the nearby Francis-Jourdain nursery school, the Tescou bridge will remain open to traffic with restricted access. Users of this route will therefore be able to return to rue Alphonse Jourdain. This leads onto rue des Bains to reach impasse Albert Lacroix where the school is located. Once the school term ends on July 7, access to the bridge will be closed until the work is completed.

In addition, the Grand Montauban bus lines could also be disrupted or diverted, according to the Urban Community. All disruptions and changes will be updated on its site.

Finally, regarding waste collection, two collection points will be set up for local residents: the first on rue du Tescou and the other on rue de l’Abbaye. A final selective sorting collection will be carried out on Friday June 28. As for household waste, it will take place on Saturday June 29.
